Now I can add Blogger to my allustrious Career
Hello all,
I am new to this whole blogging thing, but in an effort to stay hip, as I hear all the kids my age are doing it. I thought I might as well join the fray. I am in Angola, Indiana right now, I know what your thinking what, did you loose a bet? No, I am performing doing a one nighter at Piggy's Sports Bar and Night Club, It is a long story, I was headlining the Borgata Hotel & Casino last week and this week I am in the fifth ring of Hell. Actually , it is not that bad. I was on the East Coast anyway, and it gave me an opportunity to stop in and see Bob & Tom my favorite morning radio program. These guy are like the tonight show of radio and not like the Jay Leno tonight show ....these guys are like doing the Johnny Carson tonight show, they are in 135 markets and have and average of 5 million listeners every day and have done more to promote and help comedians than anyone I know!! Plus my sides hurt from laughing all morning Anywho, this is my first blog tune in I will let you know how my gig in Angola Indiana goes...

Sun Valley, Idaho 48 Straight
Friday March 14 th, 2008 10:33 am
I am performing as part of the winter (even though it is March) comedy series in Sun Valley, Idaho at Sun Valley Resorts, in the Boiler Room, which coincidentally coincides with "48 straight" billed as the loudest show on snow by promoters, which means 48 straight hours of Activities, preqaulifying, racing, music it is a Jeep sponsored Tour even. A virtual Skiing and Snowboarding extravaganza, It has some great bands playing part of the Base Camp Music experience the bands include Slightly stoopid,Mickey Avalon, Dirtie Blonde, Ky-Mani Marley, just to name of few. I have never been here but it seems like a great week to explore and check this town out.

Alive and Kickin' - Comedy Special
Life is not about finding yourself it is about creating yourself.
There is a famous quote that goes:
A famous comedian in ill health was informed on his hospital bed that he way dying said, "Dying is easy… comedy is Hard!" This film examines that quotation in depth.
Alive & Kickin' is a ground breaking funny film! This Film Has laugh out loud cameos by Gary Valentine (King of Queens, Chuck & Larry get Married, and Stuck on You) Billy Gardell ( Heist, Lucky, Me You & Dupree) & Joey “Coco” Diaz (Spiderman2, The Longest Yard, My name is Earl ) . This film is edgy and bright and unique “Jimmy Shubert’s confidence and lucid delivery enhances his humor, making even his most perverse moments hilarious.
Alive and kickin' is the brain child of Jimmy Shubert, who is professional Stand Up Comedian & Actor, who has appeared in several films (two of which were Official Sundance selections "Go" directed by Doug Liman & "One Hour photo” directed by Mark Romanek) and, he has made appearances on the hit TV shows like The King of Queens (recurring), Reno 911, and Entourage. He says, I am tired of having unfunny comedians jammed down my throat. He says, “I watch last comic standing and they tell me they have searched Hi and Low for the ten funniest people and I watching the program going that’s impossible because one of them is sitting right here. “
The film was directed by Mike Kallio, Written by Jimmy Shubert & Joey O’Connell The Executive producers are Jimmy Shubert and Jeff Apploff , Who is the creator & executive producer of Fox’s summer ratings sensation “Don’t forget the Lyrics!”
Edited by Claude Shires and produced in conjunction with No Short Shrift and Unreel media in association with Apploff Entertainment.
